Virginia Is Not For Environment Lovers: State Rankings

Virginia is ranked the 31st greenest state in a new WalletHub study. The state scored 54.55 out off 100 on based on factors such as air, water and soil quality, LEED-certified buildings per capita, energy from renewable sources, energy consumption per capita and waste per capita. Neighboring Maryland ranked 11th overall.
