Lorton Area Breweries, Others Host Fairfax County Brewfest

LORTON, VA — The fifth annual Fairfax County Brewfest will be held in seven locations in place of one large-scale event as organizers aim to avoid large gatherings and follow other COVID-19 health guidelines. Each location will host their own event during select hours on Saturday, Sept. 26.

Hosted by the Dulles Regional Chamber of Commerce and Mustang Sally Brewing Co., the event features seven breweries in Fairfax County. Among the participants are Fair Wind Brewing Company and G34.3 Brewing Company in the Lorton area.

"We designed a smart Brewfest this year. It's scaled to be safer by spreading out locations to avoid a large crowd but still celebrating the breweries, music, and food in the area," said John Boylan, president and CEO of the Dulles Regional Chamber of Commerce. "It's a chance to have fun and toast the craftmanship of the brewers."

Attendees are asked to follow COVID-19 guidelines at Fairfax County Brewfest events. More details on each event are provided below.

Fair Winds Brewing Company, 7000 Newington Road, K&L, Lorton, VA

• Hours: 12 p.m.-10 p.m.
• 12 p.m.-7 p.m.: Food from Natural Red BBQ
• 5 p.m.-8 p.m.: Music by Matty D
• Other: Swing the Jib IPA collab with Solace

G34.3 Brewing Company, 8532 Terminal Road, L-N, Lorton, VA

• Hours: 12 p.m.-10 p.m.
• All day: Smokin' Looney "Q" BBQ
• All day: German Oktoberfest music
• All day: Oktoberfestbier Release Party. $1 off all pints with purchase of engraved glass beer stein ($10)

Caboose Commons, 2918 Eskridge Road, Fairfax, VA

• Hours: 9 a.m.-10:30 p.m.
• 9 a.m.: Pure Barre Vienna Pop-Up Class (sign up) followed by a Row House Fairfax demo and info booth

Settle Down Easy Brewing, 2822 Fallfax Drive, Falls Church, VA

• Hours: 12 p.m.-10 p.m.
• 12 p.m.: Five different German Fest Beers on tap
• 1 p.m.: Oyster Festival (start shucking at 1 p.m. and keep going until they're gone)

Lake Anne Brew House, 11424 Washington Plaza W, Reston, VA,

Hours: 9:30 a.m.-5 p.m. (non-ticketed), 5 p.m.-8 p.m. (ticketed event) 9:45 a.m.: Beer Run around Lake Anne with pints, pretzels, pretzel croissants after, plus nitro cold brew coffee and Kombucha9:30 a.m.-5 p.m.: An exclusive and limited edition keg of the 2020 Golden Strong Ale (2020 VCB Cup Silver medalist).
