Northern Virginia Weather: Break Out the Sunscreen — Again
After a slight chance of isolated showers Thursday night, according to the National Weather Service, Friday offers sun and temps near 80.
STERLING, VA — Aside from a a few isolated showers tonight, the end of the work week presents us with more of the recent same, according to the area arm of the National Weather Service: sunny skies with temperatures pushing 80.
That's right. 80. In February, no less.
After that, though, rain moves in Saturday with the temperatures still mild.

Tonight: Isolated showers between 7pm and 10pm. Patchy fog after 4am. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a low around 54. South wind 6 to 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Friday: Patchy fog before 10am. Otherwise, mostly sunny, with a high near 77. South wind 6 to 11 mph.
Friday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 56. South wind around 9 mph.
Saturday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms, then showers and possibly a thunderstorm after noon. High near 69. Breezy, with a south wind 9 to 14 mph becoming west 15 to 20 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
Saturday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 37. Breezy, with a northwest wind 13 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph.
