Northern Virginia Weather: A No-Go For Snow — For Now
Now we're looking at Monday night, according to the National Weather Service. Temperatures take a decided dive after a glorious Thursday.
STERLING, VA — In something of a turn, there's not expected to be any snow until Monday night and Tuesday, according to the area outlet representing the National Weather Service.
But there's no change in the expectation that temperatures soon will dramatically drop just in time for the weekend, with lows Saturday and Sunday in the 20s.
But all is not bleak, friends and neighbors in the Northern Virginia area.

Thursday will greet us with mostly sunny skies and highs near 80 with isolated wind gusts.

Tonight: Clear, with a low around 42. Southwest wind 9 to 16 mph, with gusts as high as 29 mph.
Thursday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 67. West wind 8 to 17 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.
Thursday Night: A chance of rain after 2am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 42. Southwest wind 6 to 9 mph becoming northwest after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 40%.
Friday: A chance of rain before 8am, then a chance of showers after 8am. Cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny, with a high near 49. Breezy, with a northwest wind 7 to 12 mph increasing to 16 to 21 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 32 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%.
