Northern Virginia Weather: Sun Takes a Hiatus This Week

STERLING, VA — Out with the cold but in with the rain. That's pretty much how the work week is expected to develop. according to area branch of the National Weather Service.

Sunday night lows will be in the low 30s, and Monday will be mostly cloudy with a small chance of showers in the evening.

Fat Tuesday look like it'll bring warmer temperatures but likely with showers. More rain is expected Wednesday and Thursday.

Tuesday: A chance of showers, mainly after 8am. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 66. Light south wind increasing to 6 to 11 mph in the morning. Chance of precipitation is 50%.

Wednesday: Showers likely, mainly after 8am. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 74. Chance of precipitation is 60%.
