STERLING, VA — We're a week into March and many folks already longing for that warm and sunny February weather, as odd as that sounds.
As it is, rain looks like it's on its way, beginning tonight, according to the area arm of the National Weather Service.
Tuesday brings a 60 percent chance of rain, mostly after 5 p.m.

Temperatures will relatively mild until the weekend, when a smattering of snow could greet us.

Tonight: A chance of showers, mainly after 2am. Cloudy, with a low around 45. South wind around 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%.
Tuesday: Showers likely, mainly after 5pm. Cloudy, with a high near 67. South wind 9 to 16 mph, with gusts as high as 24 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.
Tuesday Night: Showers. Low around 49. South wind 9 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 23 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.
Wednesday: Showers likely before 8am. Mostly sunny, with a high near 63. West wind 8 to 16 mph, with gusts as high as 24 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%.
