Northern Virginia Weather: Weekend Grab Bag of Sun, Clouds and Cold

STERLING, VA — It's looking like a cold but dry weekend, simply put, according to the National Weather Service.

Following a Friday night with temperatures in the low 20s, Saturday is expected to offer sunshine but with highs barely above freezing. And the sun isn't even expected to last through the night.

Things heat up a bit Sunday but under mostly cloudy skies.

The next chance of rain is Monday night.

Sunday: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 46. South wind 9 to 11 mph.

Monday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 53.
