Virginia Weather: Break From Winds And Cold, But Not For Long
The damaging wind departs Monday night, according to the National Weather Service, but temperatures drop again Thursday.

STERLING, VA — With those damaging winds pretty much in our rear-view mirror, the next several days bring welcome calm to the area, according to the local branch of the National Weather Service.
Tuesday should be mild with highs approaching 50.

Tonight: Mostly clear, with a low around 30. Northwest wind 13 to 18 mph decreasing to 7 to 12 mph after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 31 mph.
Tuesday: Partly sunny, with a high near 49. West wind 5 to 9 mph becoming southwest in the afternoon.
Tuesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 37. South wind 6 to 8 mph.
Wednesday: Partly sunny, with a high near 47. Northwest wind 5 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 23 mph.
