Northern Virginia Weather: Windy Monday Gives Way to Wonderful Week

The gusts should clear out Monday night, according to the National Weather Service, and the sun will continue with moderate temperatures.

STERLING, VA — Once the periodic wind gusts of more than 50 mph taper off Monday night, the rest of the the week will offer lot of sun, seasonable temperatures and scant chances of rain, according to the local outpost of the National Weather Service.

Even with Monday sunshine, the wind is expected to be sneaky wicked. Gusts should lose their gusto well before Tuesday.

For the most part, the sun sticks around throughout the week.
