Phased Opening of Park Authority Golf Courses Begins

With the easing of state restrictions aimed at reducing the spread of COVID-19 disease, Fairfax County Park Authority has begun a phased reopening of park amenities. Golf courses and driving ranges will be opening as follows:

May 8: Laurel Hill Golf Club, Burke Lake Golf Center, Greendale Golf Course
May 15: Pinecrest Golf Course and Twin Lakes Golf Course (Oaks)
May 22: Jefferson Golf Course, Oak Marr Golf Complex and Twin Lakes Golf Course (Lakes)

Courses will be implementing recommendations aligning with CDC social distancing and sanitation guidelines and the National Golf Course Owners Association’s Park and Play program to ensure the safety of all. Included in the recommendations is the installation of plexiglass barriers, prepaid reservations and limited clubhouse occupancy.

Measures will minimize person-to-person contact and maximize cleanliness, providing the safest environment possible. Modifications include but are not limited to:

• Advanced online payment
• Expedited check-in
• Amended cart usage
• Limited clubhouse occupancy
• To-go only food and beverage service.
