Surovell declared his intention to run for the 36th District Senate Seat after Sen. Toddy Puller (D-36th) announced her retirement after 23 years of service in the Virginia General Assembly.
“Senator Puller has been a remarkable advocate for improving the quality of life on the Route 1 Corridor in Fairfax, Prince William and Stafford counties,” Surovell said. “She has consistently fought for the voiceless in our community and done more to help address the challenges veterans face than anyone else in the Virginia legislature. I hope to build on that progress and look forward to this tremendous opportunity to do more for my constituents.”
