Small Craft Advisory Issued for Tuesday
The National Weather Service expects wind speeds of 18 to 33 knots Tuesday to produce hazardous wave conditions for small craft.
Thinking about getting out on the Potomac today? The National Weather Service has issued a Small Craft Advisory for Tuesday, from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
The NWS says to expect winds gusting to 18 to 33 knots from the Key Bridge to Indian Head, Md. A Small Craft Advisory means that wind speeds are expected to produce hazardous wave conditions to small craft.
Inexperienced mariners, especially those operating smaller vessels, should avoid navigating in these conditions, the NWS advises.
