Teach English to Adults

Learn more at the Literacy Council of Northern Virginia's Volunteer Orientation

The mission of the Literacy Council of Northern Virginia is to teach adults the basic skills of reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English in order to empower them to participate more fully and confidently in their communities. Over 600 volunteers serve in the classroom or behind-the-scenes to support our mission every year. Prior teaching experience is not required -- we provide training, materials and on-going support. Join us!

To learn more about the Literacy Council and volunteer opportunities, come to an open Volunteer Orientation on Saturday, April 7 at 10:30AM at the Lorton Library. RSVP for the orientation to Amy at volunteers@lcnv.org.
