Vehicle Hit By Amtrak Train In Lorton
A vehicle illegally on rail tracks Tuesday morning near the Lorton station was hit by an Amtrak Auto Train.
LORTON, VA—A vehicle illegally on rail tracks Tuesday morning near the Lorton station was hit by an Amtrak Auto Train around 7 a.m., and service was temporarily halted on the Virginia Railway Express Fredericksburg line. WTOP reported that Fairfax County police tweeted that a senior citizen ended up on the tracks after making a wrong turn, but he wasn’t injured.
