Virginia Lottery Win Nets $100,000 For Lorton Woman
While visiting relatives in Northumberland County, Mary Spindle of Lorton decided to buy a Virginia Lottery Cash 5 ticket. Good thing.
LORTON, VA—While visiting relatives in Northumberland County, Mary Spindle of Lorton decided to buy a Virginia Lottery Cash 5 ticket. Good thing. Her computer-generated numbers of 10-23-27-28-29 wound up being the winners, and Spindle found herself $100,000 richer.
"I couldn't believe it," she told lottery officials. "It was surreal." The recently retired Spindle said she has no immediate plans for the winnings.
