Mr. Ormonde:
I am in receipt of your letter dated 20 July 2017 presumably sent to the many residents of The Fairfax informing us that you will close the branch of Wells Fargo that serves our near 500 residents to include a number in assisted living.
Do you have any comprehension of what disservice you are committing? This is a military retirement community. The retired officers (of all service branches) and their spouses here have served in World War II, the Korean War, the Viet Nam War, and many other conflicts. They have literally given their blood for your privilege to close the bank that they utilize. The average age here is 85. Many of the residents use walkers and scooters. And you wish them to ambulate over to the Lorton Town Center.
You pay no rent for office space nor electricity because we need a branch bank here.
To state that the actions of Wells Fargo are insensitive and uncaring would be an understatement. May I suggest that you reconsider your decision?

Truly,
Richard B. Abell
