Manassas Park Woman Dies After Setting Herself On Fire: Report
Manassas Park police are investigating the death of a woman who reportedly set herself on fire at her home Tuesday.
MANASSAS PARK, VA — In what may have been an alleged suicide attempt, a Manassas Park woman died Tuesday after setting herself on fire at her home. According to a report, the incident happened just before 3 p.m. in the 9400 block of Wilcoxen Drive.
Police responded to the home after receiving a call about an attempted suicide and house fire, Inside NoVA reported. When they arrived, they found a fire on the home's back deck and a woman suffering from severe burns.
The victim, whose identity was not released, was taken to Novant's Prince William Medical Center where she died, according to police.
