MANASSAS PARK, VA—Authorities are looking for the apparent owner of two pit bulls who attacked and killed a Chihuahua late Wednesday morning in the 8200 block of White Pine Drive, according to Manassas Park Police.

He's described as Hispanic and was wearing a white sleeveless shirt and black shorts. He was last seen walking away from the scene and toward Blooms Quarry Road. The pit bulls are described as larger than average. One is black; the other, beige.

Around 11 a.m., police were dispatched to the scene for a reported animal attack. The Chihuahua's owner said he heard dogs barking behind his home, and he opened his door to find the pit bulls attacking his dog, who later died of the incurred injuries. The apparent owner corralled the dogs and left before police arrived.
