Police: Armed Robbery Suspect Caught
Dollar Tree robbery Friday night led to hour-long search before the suspect was caught, according to Manassas Park Police.
Manassas Park Police has a suspect in custody following the armed robbery Friday night of the Dollar Tree at 8490 Centreville Road.
The suspect’s name and charges have not been released.
At 7 p.m. Friday, the robber entered the store and demanded money while displaying a firearm. He fled on foot.

Police established a perimeter, with help from Prince William County and Manassas police. K-9 units and the Fairfax Police helicopter was also used.

At 8:17 p.m, the suspect was found by officers while he attempted to break into a home in the 100 block of Evans Street, according to a police.
He was taken into custody and the weapon was also recovered.
