Police: Hit and Run Victim Dragged Several Feet

Suspect, of Manassas, was eventually located with the help of a witness, according to Manassas Park Police.

A man is in custody after he attempted to flee a hit and run, dragging the victim several feet, according to Manassas Park Police.

Eshaka Kargbo, 25, of Manassas, is charged with malicious wounding and hit and run. He is being held at the Prince William Adult Detention Center with no bond.

According to police, Kargbo was traveling in his 2000 Honda at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday on Euclid Avenue when he struck the rear of a 1994 Mercedes.

The driver of the Mercedes got out of his car, but Kargbo allegedly attempted to flee the scene. As he sped off, Kargbo allegedly struck the victim and dragged him several feet.

A witnesses contacted police as he was following the suspect and provided information so that officers were able to locate Kargbo and make the arrest in the area of the Prince William Parkway and Hoadly Road.

The victim, 64, was transported to Novant Prince William Medical Center, according to police. The Washington Post notes the injuries were non-life-threatening.
