Three teens charged with bringing knife to school, say Prince William County police.

Prince William County police arrested two Manassas teenagers on Thursday and another on Sunday on charges of gang activity at a local middle school.

The charges stem from an alleged conspiracy by the three to bring weapons to a fight planned for March 27 at Parkside Middle School at 8602 Mathis Ave. in Manassas, according to a police report.

All three male juveniles, a 15-year-old and two 14-year-olds, were charged with one count of conspiracy to commit a felony-attempted malicious wounding, one count of conspiracy to bring a knife onto school property and two counts of gang participation, Prince William police said.

Based on information gathered, the altercation was allegedly supposed to occur on March 27 at the school. As a result, the Prince William police posted additional officers at Parkside.

Detectives determined that the rumors about the upcoming fight stemmed from an altercation that had occurred earlier in the day on March 26. Detectives were able to identify the three male juveniles involved in the incident as having gang involvement, police said.

All three juveniles were promptly removed from the school and were later arrested.
