MCLEAN, VA — Washington Nationals pitcher Max Scherzer is the owner of the $15 million waterfront McLean home on the market.

After the home was listed last week, realtor.com revealed that the Nationals pitcher is selling it. Realtor.com also indicated Scherzer bought a $9.75 million home in Jupiter, Florida several months ago that is close to the Nationals' spring training facility.

Scherzer originally bought the McLean home for $5.2 million in August 2015 after signing a seven-year, $210 million contact with the Nationals. A three-time Cy Young Award winner who helped the Nationals win the World Series in 2019, the 36-year-old Scherzer will enter the final year of his Nationals contract in 2021.

The home has undergone a modern makeover since 2015. It was originally bought with four bedrooms and 7,160 square feet. Now it boasts five bedrooms and 8,264 square feet.
