2021 McLean Community Center Board Election Voting Begins
Residents of the special tax district can vote in the governing board election, including at this year's drive-thru McLean Day.

MCLEAN, VA — Voting opened Wednesday for the 2021 election of the McLean Community Center's Governing Board.
There are 13 residents of Dranesville Small District 1A that have qualified to run for seats, including five adults and eight teens. Three adult positions and two teen positions (one for Langley High School boundary and one for McLean High School boundary) are up for grabs. Adults serve three-year terms on the board, while teens serve one year-terms.
The MCC Governing Board sets policy and oversees facilities and programs of the center, including the Robert Ames Alden Theatre and the Old Firehouse Teen Center. Residents in the Dranesville Small District 1A have a tax rate on top of the property tax from Fairfax County Government.

Dranesville Small District 1A residents can vote in the MCC election. Teen voters will vote for the teen candidates, while adults vote for adult candidates. Teen voters must be 15 to 17 years old as of May 15, and adults must be 18 or older as of May 15.
Open voting is available in person or by mail through 5 p.m. on Saturday, May 15. To request a ballot for a household, fill out an online ballot request form, call 703-744-9348 or email elections@mcleancenter.org. Residents should indicate how many teen and adult ballots are needed for the household.

Ballots can be mailed or dropped off at McLean Community Center, 1234 Ingleside Avenue, McLean, VA 22101. A signed affidavit must accompany each completed ballot.
In-person voting opportunities will be held at the drive-thru 2021 McLean Day on Saturday, May 15 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Earth Day McLean on Saturday, April 17 from 9 a.m. to noon., both at 1234 Ingleside Avenue.
