'Argo,' Filmed in McLean, Garners Early Oscar Buzz

Ben Affleck directed "Argo," set to be released in theaters on Oct. 12. The movie was partially filmed in McLean, including scenes at the CIA.

Ben Affleck's latest movie, scheduled to be released in theaters nationwide next month, could be a major contender for an Academy Award, the Huffington Post reports.

And get this, parts of it were filmed in McLean.

"At this point, it's academic: Argo premiered at the prestigious Telluride Film Festival on Friday, and the reviews were rapturous," the article reports.
