will present its annual show, "Walk Into The Wild," at 7 p.m. Saturday in the school's auditorium.
The 39 students in Langley’s Advanced Fashion Marketing class, led by co-directors Jenna Weida and Lori Kealey, are responsible for running the show. As the largest production put on by the school, Fashion students have been planning the event for many months. More than 200 students participate, as well as the school's principal, administrators, and teachers. "Walk Into The Wild" will present clothing trends such as animal prints and red, bohemian, tribal print, color blocking, lace, metallic, and military.
In addition to these various trends, the show consists of a scene known as Student Design in which all the outfits are designed, sewn, and modeled by Langley’s very own students. The scene’s outfits represent a variety of styles (whether it be preppy, punk, or even vintage) which reflect the creative and artistic skills of the students.
The show features original designs by Langley students, outfits put together by the models, and designs from several vendors. The vendors include Cache, MW Tux, CAbi and Pink Palm. Paul Mitchell the School will create the hairstyles and makeup for all the models
Tickets can be purchased during the school’s lunch periods in the cafeteria or by contacting the Fashion Marketing teacher, Tricia Poythress at Tricia.Poythress@fcps.edu. Tickets are $10 in advance or $15 at the door.
