Free Summer Concerts In McLean: Schedule For 2019

MCLEAN, VA—Look no further than McLean's Summer Sunday Concerts in the Park for some free family fun. The free concerts will kick off in June at the McLean Central Park Gazebo, 1468 Dolley Madison Boulevard.

The seven free concerts are held Sundays from June 16 to July 28. All shows begin at 5 p.m.

Here is the full schedule:

• June 16: Alphabet Rockers: Get moving to music that moves you! The Alphabet Rockers trio positive messages and modern hip hop beats help children love who they are and celebrate differences.
• June 23: Jazzy Ash and the Leaping Lizards: The spirit of Mardi Gras is sure to take over the Gazebo with Jazzy Ash’s original mix of family friendly, New-Orleans-style jazz and favorite jazz standards. Bring your own beads!
• June 30: Sonia de Los Santos: Praised on Billboard’s "Best Latin Kids Music" list, Sonia de Los Santo’s bilingual children’s album "¡AlegrÍa!" celebrates everyday themes that bring us joy and weaves together styles from across the Americas.
• July 7: DuPont Brass: This "new" brass band plays an eclectic mix of original compositions and arrangements of songs by Miles Davis, JAY-Z and others.
• July 14: Frontiers-A Journey Tribute Band: Don’t stop believing! This stellar Journey tribute band returns by popular demand.
• July 21: Justin Trawick and the Common Good: Somewhere in-between John Prine and Jason Mraz lies Justin Trawick. With a raw, emotional take on Americana, Justin Trawick and the Common Good take the genre to exciting new places.
• July 28: Slippery When Wet: The Ultimate Bon Jovi Tribute: Bringing Jersey rock to McLean.
