Happy Mother's Day From Andrew And Emma

In celebration of Mother's Day on Sunday May 13, we asked Patch readers to write a letter to their mother and let us deliver it. This is Andrew and Emma's letter to their mom:

We have two letters: one from Andrew, age 14, and one from Emma, age 9.

From Andrew:

The Love Of A Mother
Unconditional
Pure
Sacred
Her tender, caring embrace
Her sweet, nurturing kiss
Her soft, affectionate words
Untouched by the hand of the devil
Unwavering in its strength
Unseen by the cold and contemptuous
The thing we’ve all heard
One phrase
Three words
“I love you.”

I was blessed with a wonderful mother, whom I respect immensely. She’s patient, strong-willed and wise. However, her defining trait as my mom is her unwavering love for me. This love has shaped me into who I am today, and I can’t thank her enough. To all of the devoted mothers out there, I want to thank you for showing such love and compassion to your children. The love that my mom has showed me is something I will always have with me, and I want to thank my mother for giving me her love.
