'Hope on Ice' at Tysons Corner Ice Rink Set for Feb.19-21

TYSONS, VA: Tysons Corner Ice Rink will host their first annual Hope on Ice event to benefit the American Cancer Society on Friday Feb. 19 to Sunday, Feb. 21, according to a Tysons Corner Center announcement.

The three-day public skating extravaganza event will celebrate survivors, honor the lives of those lost and help raise funds for The American Cancer Society.

Ice Skating Tickets are $12. Tysons Corner Ice Rink will donate $4 to the American Cancer Society for each purchased ticket. Purchased tickets will be honored all weekend.

Be amongst the first 50 cancer survivors to register to be celebrated and receive a limited edition Hope on Ice t-shirt and be entered into drawings for SWAG bags featuring items from Tysons Corner Center retailers.

At 9 pm, take a moment of silence with the Luminaria ceremony, during which the rink will be surrounded by glowing Luminaria in honor of loved ones lost to cancer and those fighting cancer. Luminaria may be purchased on site for $10 each.

Funds raised through Hope on Ice will support the American Cancer Society’s mission to find cures, provide free services for cancer patients and their families, and help finish the fight against cancer.

Hope on Ice Special Activities:

Opening Ceremony: Friday, February 19, 4 p.m. with cancer survivors, Tysons Rink General Manager Marissa Marwell and American Cancer Society staff.

Luminaria Ceremony on Ice: Friday, February 19, 9 p.m.

3-8 p.m* Public skating, DJ Civil, performers on the hour plus live entertainment, complimentary treats from Earls Kitchen & Bar and S’mores Bar, games and activities hosted by Crunch fitness.
