Jones Branch Connector Construction Kicks Off Thursday

$58 million project to connect Tysons area via new road from Express Lanes/Jones Branch Drive interchange to Scotts Crossing Road.

FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA -- The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) and Fairfax County officials attended a groundbreaking Thursday afternoon to recognize the start of construction for the Jones Branch Connector. This $58 million project will connect the Tysons area via a new road from the Express Lanes/Jones Branch Drive interchange to Scotts Crossing Road and provide additional bicycle and pedestrian improvements.

Fairfax County elected officials, along with representatives from VDOT, Tysons Partnership and Transurban, were on hand.

WHERE: The event was held in the cul-de-sac by the Gates of McLean located at 1510 Spring Gate Dr. in McLean.
