Meet Your New McLean Patch Editor
Get to know Lauren Sausser, McLean's new local editor

On Friday, we bid farewell to the recently retired Bobbi Bowman, who made her mark covering McLean since this site launched in 2010. Don't worry. You'll still find her roaming around town. There's a good chance she's drinking coffee at this very minute, planning a trip to Paris this fall ("I love Paris in the fall...").
We wish her the best -- and don't worry, there's someone new to bring you the local McLean news and information you rely on each morning: My name is Lauren Sausser and I'm the new editor of McLean Patch.
You may have seen my byline line pop up on the site every once in a while. I've worked for the company since October 2010 - before McLean Patch even existed. I've been a journalist since 2005.

In my free time, I love traveling, reading (book suggestions, anyone?) and cooking. I also get a kick out of Zumba and have been known to enjoy a glass of wine or two.
OK, back to business. Do you know about story I should be covering? Is there a fire or an emergency in town that I need to know about? Send news tips, comments, criticism and happy hour invites my way.

I can be reached via email, lauren.sausser@patch.com; cell phone, 202-213-2618; twitter, @laurenmsausser or @McLeanPatch; or on Facebook. I think that covers all the bases - phew.
I'm looking forward to meeting many of you in the weeks and months ahead.
