MCLEAN, VA — McLean Automotive Service Center, a family-run business for nearly 70 years, has been turned into another locally-owned business. After the family who owns McLean Automotive Service Center decided to retire, the location at 1387 Chain Bridge Road became Craftsman Auto Care's fifth location.

The locally-based Craftsman Auto Care is owned by Matt Curry from the former Curry’s Auto Service, who grew up in Vienna and graduated from James Madison High School. After selling the brand in 2013, Curry took over the Kingstowne Auto Care in Franconia and turned it into the first Craftsman Auto location. Today, there are locations in Franconia, Fairfax, Chantilly, Merrifield, and now McLean.

"I want everyone in the community to know that as a small, family owned and operated business, Craftsman Auto Care will continue on the tradition that the Justice family started over 67 years ago; offer the best quality repair service with honesty, integrity and the best customer experience ever," wrote Curry in a message to the McLean community.

He said the difference between the business will be the technology, with options of online appointments, digital inspections, concierge service, rewards program, maintenance reminders, free Wi-Fi and more.

Aside from providing auto care services, Curry has been in the business of helping front-line workers and restaurants during the pandemic. Craftsman Auto Care's Feed a Hero campaign provided 3,000 meals through local restaurants and funds raised by the community. The campaign, which ended on June 1, raised over $34,000. That fundraising helped reach the goal of 100 meals per day for 30 days.
