McLean Crime: Police Chase Ends in DWI Charge for Teen

A police chase that started on Grande Lane in McLean ended with man being charged with driving while intoxicated.

Police said the 19-year-old man, of Falls Church, was found asleep behind the wheel of his car in the middle of the road around 4:15 a.m. The man sped off when police woke him up, and he hit a parked car and a mailbox, according to a police report.

Police took the man into custody after the short chase and charged him with DWI, speed to elude, hit and run, destruction of property and driving on a suspended license.
