McLean Home Among Top DC Real Estate Sales In Last Decade
Can you guess which McLean home is among the most expensive sold in the DC area over the last decade?

MCLEAN, VA—McLean homes are among some of the most highest priced in the real estate market, so it shouldn't come as a surprise that it boasts the decade's biggest real estate sales.
The Wind Falls estate at 750 Chain Bridge Road sold this year for a whopping $35 million, Washington Business Journal reports. Dwight Schar, owner of the Fortune 500 home building company NVR, Inc., and his wife Martha owned the estate.
The six-bedroom home goes down as the biggest DC area sale of the decade, topping historic DC mansions. According to the Business Journal, the buyer is identified as 750 CBR LLC.

Another top real estate sale hails from Fairfax County. In 2014, Tysons real estate pioneer Gerald Halpin sold his River View Estate at 7979 East Boulevard Drive in Mount Vernon for $18.6 million. Halpin, who helped lead the way for major real estate development in Tysons, died in August.
Another McLean home currently on the market could take the top stop if it sells—and it happens to be the neighbor of the Wind Falls estate. In June, AOL co-founder and former CEO Steve Case announced he was selling Merrywood, the childhood home of Jackie Kennedy Onassis. The huge estate that has hosted presidents, business leaders, artists and more and is listed at $49.5 million.
