Coming Up Thursday: McLean Shopping Center Renovation Focus of Public Meeting

McLEAN, VA -- A public meeting is set for Thursday, Feb. 16 to present proposed redevelopment plans for two of McLean's biggest shopping centers: Old Dominion Shopping Center and Chain Bridge Corner Shopping Center.

Dranesville District Supervisor John Foust and McLean Properties' Bob Montgomery and Vidal Sadaka will make presentations and answer questions regarding the proposed redevelopment of the shopping centers into one mixed-use development.

The proposal, which includes a pedestrian-oriented mix of office, retail and residential uses, builds upon the “Main Street” concept envisioned in the Comprehensive Plan for McLean, Foust's office said.

It's likely that an application for rezoning plans will be submitted in April and a public hearing about the plans will take place in November, according to a Foust staff member.

The meeting, open to the public, is set for Thursday, Feb. 16 at 7 p.m. at the McLean Community Center, 1234 Ingleside Avenue in McLean.
