McLean's 4th Of July Fireworks 2020 Canceled

McLean's traditional Fourth of July events may be canceled, but there are ways to celebrate the holiday at home.

MCLEAN, VA — July 4 events across the country will not look the same this year thanks to the coronavirus. Many cities and towns have been forced to cancel the annual Fourth of July events, including McLean. Although the McLean Community Center’s fireworks at Langley High School has been canceled, there are other ways to enjoy the holiday.

MCC has canceled numerous summer events due to the pandemic. One alternative is MCC's Super Summer Scavenger Hunt, which can be played all summer long. Participants complete 100 outdoor missions between July 1 and Aug. 17. To find more information and sign up, visit MCC's website.

In addition, The Alden is presenting “Drive-Thru Drama,” a social-distancing theater performance viewed from cars. Performances are scheduled from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. over two weekends: Friday-Sunday, July 3-5 and July 10-12.
