Oktoberfest Planned At Boro Development In Tysons
The event will feature a biergarten, crafts and vendors and a Kids Zone with safety precautions.
TYSONS, VA — The Boro, a mixed-use development in Tysons, will celebrate the season with an Oktoberfest event with limited attendance and other safety protocols. The socially-distant event is planned on Friday, Oct. 9 from 3:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and Saturday Oct. 10 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The festive fall event will offer seasonal beverages in the pop-up biergarten, as well as local artists, crafts and vendors at the URBNmarket and Boro Park Kids Zone. The Kids Zone will feature fall crafts, cornhole, connect four, a 9-hole mini golf course and live entertainment.
The biergarten will be available by reservation only, individuals can choose from a table or Adirondack chairs. Each reservation costs $25 and includes four drinks and $5 to be donated to a local charity. Additional drinks can be purchased at the on-site bar. Per Fairfax County COVID-19 regulations, each reservation can accommodate up to six people. Masks are required at the event except when sitting at a reservation table in the biergarten.

URBNmarket and Boro Park’s Kids Zone will run with capacity limits on a first-come, first-serve basis. Games will be regularly sanitized throughout the day, and masks are required for anyone over age 5.
The event is an alternative to the nearby Vienna Oktoberfest, a popular annual event that was cancelled due to the pandemic. The Vienna Business Association's alternative Distanz Vienna Oktoberfest was canceled due to lack of participation from businesses.
