Potomac School Grad To Play Division III Football

"I've dreamed about this since I was a kid," said Jake Logue of his decision to play at Franklin & Marshall College.

MCLEAN, VA - From The Potomac School: 2018 Potomac School graduate Jake Logue has committed to play Division III football for Franklin & Marshall College in the fall. “I’ve dreamed about this since I was a kid,” he says. “My father played college football, and it’s always been a goal I’ve wanted to pursue.”

Logue was a member of Potomac’s varsity football team throughout his high school career. A three-year
starter, he played offensive line, defensive line, and linebacker positions. This past year, in addition to serving as a senior captain for Potomac, he was selected for the All-MAC team. Potomac’s football team finished in second place in the MAC Tournament with a 6-3 overall record and a fifth-place ranking in the Division I VISAA standings.

Logue notes, “Through the whole recruiting process, Franklin & Marshall was always where I wanted to
play. They have a great program and great coaches – their preseason rank is 17 th in the nation for Division III, which is pretty huge.” Logue had the opportunity to meet his new teammates and the coaching staff in the
spring, when he took part in a Franklin & Marshall football practice. He notes, “The coaches there really
want you to do your best. I could tell there was a lot of respect between the players and the coaches.”

Logue plans to study international business or sports analytics, subjects that he says have always intrigued
him. “I also hope to take computer science and economics next year,” he says. “In high school, I was able to
balance my athletic and academic pursuits, thanks largely to the support of my parents, family, and friends. I
hope to be able to maintain that balance and make the most of my college experience!”
