Presidential Inaugural Balls 2017: Official, Unofficial Galas in DC Metro Area

ALEXANDRIA, VA -- Ready for the presidential inaugural festivities? There are plenty of balls and galas and other party options both official and unofficial around the Metro DC area Thursday and Friday nights.

Donald J. Trump will take the oath of office Friday, Jan. 20 at 12 noon outside the U.S. Capitol.

You'll likely only be able to catch a glimpse of Donald and Melania Trump Friday night at one of the three official inaugural balls: Liberty and Freedom: The Official Presidential Inaugural Balls, and the Salute to Our Armed Services Ball.

Liberty and Freedom: The Official Presidential Inaugural Balls, will take place at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center. The balls will feature special appearances from entertainers Sam Moore, Tim Rushlow and his Big Band, Silhouettes, The Rockettes, Pelican212, The Piano Guys, Circus 1903, Cache Olson, Lexi Walker, and Erin Boheme. The Salute to Our Armed Services Ball will feature special performances from Tony Orlando and Josh Weathers.

Tickets to Liberty and Freedom: The Official Presidential Inaugural Balls are $50 per person and a limited number will be made available to the public who inquired about purchasing tickets at www.58PIC2017.org.

Thursday, Jan. 19

Presidential Inaugural Luncheon "A Celebration of California Culture" The California State Society event is set for 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Ritz Carlton-Washington, DC.

Black Tie & Boots Inaugural Kick up your heels with the members of the Texas State Society beginning at 7 p.m. at the Gaylord at National Harbor.

Deplorables Inaugural Ball will be held from 7-11 p.m. at the Ronald Reagan International Trade Center. The party promises three lives bands, open bars and delicious food.

PETA's Inaugural Ball SOLD OUT

Asia Pacific American Presidential Inaugural Gala is set for 6-11 p.m. at the Mayflower Hotel.

All American Inaugural Ball SOLD OUT

Garden State Inaugural Gala is being thrown by the New Jersey State Society and is set for 7:30-11:30 p.m. at the Washington Court Hotel

Inaugural Heartland Ball is being thrown by the Illinois State Society at the Marriott Marquis; a reception and dinner begin at 5:30 p.m. and the ball begins at 8 p.m.

South Carolina Presidential Inaugural Ball SOLD OUT

The Vettys Presidential Inaugural Ball and Awards begins at 7 p.m. at the Hay Adams Hotel.

Inauguration Day at the Newseum SOLD OUT

Native Nations Inaugural Ball begins at 7 p.m. at the National Museum of the American Indian.

Great American Inaugural Ball at the MGM National Harbor casino resort; Master of Ceremonies is Antonio Sabato Jr.

Inaugural Ball 2017: Celebrating Education in the Digital Age takes place at the Folger Shakespeare Library from 7-11 p.m.

Dardanella: The Great Gatsby Presidential Inaugural Ball takes place from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. at the National Portrait Gallery.

Salute to Heroes Inaugural Ball for veterans takes place starting at 5:30 p.m. at the Renaissance Washington Hotel.

Inaugural DeploraBall hosted by Gays for Trump, will take place from 7 p.m. to midnight at the William F. Bolger Center in Potomac.
