Reach for the Stars at Riverbend’s Astronomy Festival in Great Falls

The festival is a chance to learn more about what's twinkling in the sky at night as you listen to ancient stories about the constellations.

McLEAN, VA -- There will be guided star-gazing and a chance to peek at the stars through a telescope at the Astronomy Festival at Riverbend Park on Saturday, Dec. 10, Fairfax County announced Wednesday.

The festival is a chance to learn more about what’s twinkling in the sky at night as you listen to ancient stories about the constellations around the campfire. Participants will have an opportunity to enjoy games and activities, and if you get a little hungry, there will be hot chocolate and snacks available for purchase.

Festival activities are designed for participants ages 3 to adult and the festival will run from 5 to 6 p.m. The cost is $6 if you purchase a ticket online or you can pay $7 at the door. This event will be canceled if it’s raining or snowing.
