Road Closures Happening In McLean For VDOT Work
The road closure will start Monday and happen on more upcoming weekdays.
MCLEAN, VA — Two road closures will begin Monday in McLean for stormwater pipe replacement, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation.
The closures impact Park Road between Kirby Road and Old Dominion Drive, as well as Vermont Avenue between Massachusetts Avenue and Park Road. These roads will be closed to through traffic from 7 a.m. Monday, April 19 to 5 p.m. Tuesday, April 20, then daily between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. from Wednesday, April 21 to Friday, April 23 and Monday, April 26 through Tuesday, April 27. Work is weather permitting.
Residents will be able to access properties along Park Road via Kirby Road, and those accessing properties along Vermont Avenue can reach them through Valley Wood Road and Massachusetts Avenue. Traffic will not be able to access Park Road from Old Dominion Drive or Vermont Avenue, as well as Vermont Avenue from Park Road.

Through traffic will be detoured through Old Dominion Drive, Valley Wood Road, Vermont Avenue, Massachusetts Avenue, Franklin Avenue and Kirby Road.
