Sameday Testing Opens Coronavirus Testing Location In Tysons

Drive-thru PCR and rapid antigen testing are available at a location that opened on Friday, Feb. 12.

TYSONS, VA — Sameday Testing opened a new coronavirus testing location with rapid antigen and PCR tests Friday in Tysons.

The drive-thru location is situated in a 500-spot parking lot at 1981 Chain Bridge Road, McLean. The other new Sameday Testing location opening Friday is at 46900 Cedar Lake Plaza in Sterling. These locations join one at 309 S. Washington Street, Alexandria, VA, and one at Ballston Quarter, 4238 Wilson Blvd, 2E (2nd Floor), Arlington, VA. Appointments can be scheduled online.

There is no copay for the standard PCR test with insurance. This option gets testing results within 72 hours. A priority PCR test is available with a $75 rush fee and results in up to 24 hours. Individuals who use insurance will be contacted by one of Sameday Testing's physician partners for a phone consultation.

The antigen test is available as a self-payer option for $125 with results in up to 30 minutes. The priority PCR test without insurance costs $175 with results in up to 24 hours.

Appointments at testing locations typically take 10 minutes. Upon entering a testing site, individuals are checked in and directed to their assigned nurse. Results will be available in the Sameday Testing automated portal.

According to managing partner Patrick Emad, the Tysons location is one of Sameday Testing's largest testing sites and aims to serve 1,000 people per day.
