UPDATE: Search Suspended for Tuesday for Woman Reported Missing in Great Falls Area: Police
Montgomery County, Md. Fire and Rescue, along with US Park Police are searching for woman reported missing Monday.

FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA -- (UPDATE 3:45 p.m.) Montgomery County Police suspended their search in and around the Potomac River for Tuesday for a woman missing since Monday, police said. Assisted by the National Park Police, they have searched by boat on the Potomac, on foot on the banks of the river and by air.
Montgomery County Police have been searching for the woman, reported to be in her 50s, since Monday; they resumed their search for the woman in the vicinity of Great Falls. In addition to swift boats searching the waters, the U.S. Park Police were using a helicopter to search the shoreline, police said.
Police said Tuesday morning that the search continued on the water with Montgomery County Fire and Rescue boats and on land on the Virginia side. No word on the identity of the woman.

The woman was reported missing by her family sometime between 7 and 10 p.m. Monday, WJLA-TV reports. Officials say her car was found parked at the Great Falls scenic lot on the Virginia side of the river.
The investigation had closed Great Falls Park earlier Tuesday morning but the park reopened at about 9:45 a.m., according to a message posted by the park on its Facebook page.
