Shopper Robbed While Walking to Car at Tysons Corner Center: Police

A woman was getting into her car when a man came up from behind and robbed her at shopping center, police said.

TYSONS, VA -- A shopper walking to her car Sunday afternoon was robbed while getting into her car at Tysons Corner Center, according to Fairfax County Police.

The robbery took place Sunday around 12 noon, in the 8000 block of Tysons Corner Center (see map below), police said.

An investigation determined a 58-year-old woman was getting into her car, according to police. A man approached from behind and demanded her purse and jewelry. The victim complied and the suspect ran away. The victim was not injured, according to police.
