Tysons-Based Ridgeline International Expands, Adds 162 Jobs

The company provides technology solutions for the federal government as well as commercial and nonprofit sectors.

TYSONS, VA — Ridgeline International, Inc., a Tysons-based technology solutions provider, will expand and create 162 jobs.

Ridgeline, which has clients in the federal government as well a commercial and nonprofit sectors, had been named one of Forbes' America's Best Startup Employers in 2020 and was ranked one of America’s Fastest Growing Companies by The Financial Times. Today, it has over 200 employees, and half of the 2019 hires were veterans.

"First and foremost, operating out of Fairfax County has afforded us access to an impressive and ideal talent pool. This is important for any emerging startup, particularly one centered on scarce technical talent," said Ridgeline International CEO Erik Wittreich in a statement. "Furthermore, Fairfax has a thriving economy, professional associations, and an overall rich community experience."

Ridgeline also uses its technological solutions in support of philanthropy. In 2019, Ridgeline partnered with 100 Black Men of Greater Washington D.C., a nonprofit committed to improving the lives of African-American youth through educational and economic empowerment, to donate $20,000 to the organization. That donation was partially funded through employee fundraising. The partnership continues in 2021, and Ridgeline also has a new scholarship fund to provide $5,000 to three outstanding STEM students.

The Fairfax County Economic Development Authority worked with the Virginia Economic Development Partnership to secure Ridgeline's expansion. The job creation will be supported by the Virginia Jobs Investment Program, which provides consultative services and funding to companies creating new jobs.

"I am delighted to see Ridgeline International expanding in Fairfax County and I thank its leaders for their investment here," said Victor Hoskins, president and CEO of the Fairfax County Economic Development Authority. "The company is a perfect fit for the mission-oriented IT ecosystem that thrives here and will benefit from the workforce that makes Northern Virginia and the Washington, D.C., area one of the largest hubs for tech talent."
