Tysons Library Book and Media Sale March 6-8

Large selection of books and media for every age and interest. Half-price / $10 per "Bag Sale" clearance on Sunday, March 8.

Tysons Library Friends Quarterly Book & Media Sale, March 6-8, 2020 Sale begins on Friday, March 6th at 11 am and closes at 5 pm. Saturday, March 7th shop from 10 am to 4 pm. Sunday, March shop from 1 pm to 4 pm. Sale on Sunday only, March 8th, is half price for each item or $10 a bag of books, whichever is less. Large selection of adult and children's books and media. Generally, the majority of the children's books are priced between 25 cents and $1.00. There are more than 100 St. Patrick’s Day and Easter holiday children's books. In addition, there is a large number of comic books - many of them in the "Archie" series -dated from late 1970’s to 1995 and originally priced from 12 cents to $1.50. These comic books are not in collectible condition, but are still unusual and great conversation pieces, and will be priced at 50 cents each. Also, there are lots of children’s books in foreign languages, especially Korean.

Most adult hardback books are $3 for nonfiction and $2 for fiction, and softback books are $2 for nonfiction and $1 for fiction. A large selection of mass market paperbacks including sci-fi/fantasy, mysteries, and romance, are mostly priced at 25 cents each or 5 for $1.00. Adult titles include: biographies/memoirs, STEM, religion/philosophy, gardening, pets, home improvement, sports, hobbies, parenting, self-help, women studies, humor, money and business, art/culture, travel, medicine/health, diet and exercise, education, reference, classics, strategic defense, military history, US/Middle East/European and world history, wars, foreign language, local interest (DC/MD/VA/WV), mystery/thriller, science fiction, fantasy, horror, and general fiction. At this sale, there is a large selection of books in Chinese and Korean and a large selection of history books. Media--DVDs and CDs--will be located in the lobby. Also, available is a complete set of DVDs for the 9 seasons of the Perry Mason TV series, 63 volume set.

Volunteers needed for setting up on Wed/Thurs , March 4/5 and breakdown on Sunday, March 8th, after 4 pm until about 7 pm. Call Janelle at 703 338-3307 to indicate when you are available to help. Donations of books and media and ongoing volunteer help are always needed and welcome.
