George Washington Library Gets "The Daily Rundown" Spotlight

Estate president Curt Viebranz joined MSNBC's Chuck Todd to discuss Fred W. Smith National Library for the Study of George Washington.

The word is getting out about George Washington’s new presidential library.

According to the George Washington’s Mount Vernon Facebook page, estate president Curt Viebranz took to MSNBC’s “The Daily Rundown with Chuck Todd” on Tuesday morning to discuss the details of the new Fred W. Smith National Library for the Study of George Washington at Mount Vernon.

On the show, Viebranz discussed both the library’s significance and what it can contribute to scholarly studies of Washington.

The library recently made headlines when the Mount Vernon Ladies’ Association announced that it raised over $106 million to support the project.

The facility is scheduled to open on September 27, 2013.
