WAKE, VA — The body of a Virginia mother of two who disappeared Tuesday while walking out to her car has been found, and investigators suspect she was killed. Alvin Keyser lead authorities to the body of TerriLynn St. John, of Wake, on Thursday morning, the Middlesex County Sheriff's office announced. She was lying in a patch of grass about 20 feet off Barricks Mill Road.

Investigators are treating St. John's death as a homicide, authorities said. Her body will be taken to a medical examiner to determine exactly how she died.

Keyser, 23, of Topping, was named a suspect and has been taken into custody, authorities said. He awaits charges.

On Tuesday morning, St. John went out to her car to get ready to take her young kids to day care, but seemingly vanished into thin air. A relative received a call from St. John's employer saying she hadn't showed up for work. He went over to her home and found the door open. Her two children, ages 2 and 3, were alone inside, something he said she never would've done.

St. John's cellphone was found in the bushes outside her home. Her broken necklace was found in the yard, according to a missing persons flyer from The AWARE Foundation, Inc.
