Lewis set to compete in the 2017 Senior PGA Championship

PGA of America Club Professional Tim Lewis of Hampton, VA will tee off at the Senior PGA Championship on May 23-28

PGA of America Club Professional Tim Lewis of Hampton, VA will fulfil a lifelong dream when he tees off in the 2017 Senior PGA Championship presented by KitchenAid, May 23-28 at Trump National Golf Club, in Washington, D.C. The tournament marks Lewis’ first Senior PGA Championship appearance. As he prepares to compete alongside golf legends Tom Watson, John Daly, Bernhard Langer and others, Lewis must make the necessary arrangements to ensure that his everyday responsibilities as a teaching professional at Ft. Eustis - Pines Golf Course in Newport News, VA are covered.

While competing on TOUR is the primary job of many professional golfers, Lewis is a PGA club professional at Ft. Eustis - Pines GC. His job consists of teaching lessons, golf shop operations, managing member responsibilities, executing player development programs, and other tasks.

Lewis is one of 35 PGA club professionals from across the U.S. to qualify for the Senior PGA Championship. While this is the culmination of a dream, Lewis is well aware that associates, colleagues and management at his club will pick up his workload, while he competes against the world’s top senior players.
