FIDF Exclusive Briefing on Covid-19 with Brig. Gen. Tal Aharon

The head of the Technological Division of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) Ground Forces, Brig. Gen. Tal Aharon, will join the Friends of the Israel Defense Forces (FIDF) Engage webseries, on Thursday, May 7, at 12 PM EST. Aharon will discuss the supply chain and technological development in the IDF in relation to the spread of COVID-19.
The event is part of FIDFβs temporary digital alternative to community events and galas across the United States, as many of them have been postponed due to Covid-19.
Brig. Gen. Tal Aharon joined the IDF in 1990, and holds bachelor's and master's degrees in Mechanical Engineering. He served in various positions in the IDFβs Technological Division of the Ground Forces before stepping into his current role as Head of the Division, and has been involved in the technological development of numerous vehicles, tanks, armored personnel carriers (APCs), weapon systems, robotics, and more. Since the outbreak of COVID-19, Brig. Gen. Aharon has been leading acquirement initiatives of Medical Corps equipment and technological solutions aimed at assisting the civilian population.

Friends of the Israel Defense Forces (FIDF) launched βFIDF Engage,β a free, virtual event series and online portal, to provide official information and connection to IDF soldiers and Israeli officials amid the coronavirus outbreak. This series supports FIDFβs fundraising efforts that provide a range of assistance from hygienic necessities to fitness facilities and equipment, all of which are important to addressing the well-being of soldiers. The FIDF Engage series grants supporters a way to learn more about how Israel is confronting the virus and how the IDF is handling the situation in real time.
