Oakton Native Named A Junior Hockey Player Of The Week

The Oakton native is the captain of the Rochester Monarchs hockey team and scored three goals in a big win over a rival team.

OAKTON, VA—Oakton's own Connor Geshan is making a name for himself in the U.S. Premier Hockey League, recently becoming the Rochester Junior Monarchs player of the week for a dominating game over a rival team.

In a showdown with their rival the NJ Hitmen, Geshan scored the overtime game winning goal and two others to complete a hat trick and lead the team to a 4-3 win.

"Connor was a force out on the ice this weekend and played to the potential, we know he has. It seemed that every shot he took went into the net. It was very impressive to see," said coach Nick Unger, who named him the player of the week.
